Call for Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at SVC 2025! Volunteers are an essential part of making this event a success, and we appreciate your time and effort in supporting student voice and empowerment.

As a volunteer, you’ll receive:

  • Discounted registration to attend the conference (40% off standard tickets)

  • A pre-event briefing on the morning of, to ensure you feel confident in your role.

  • Opportunities to network with educators, students, and leaders passionate about student voice.

General Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time and attend the pre-event briefing.

  • Be friendly and approachable—you're part of the SVC 2025 experience!

  • Follow any instructions from the event coordinators.

  • Assist attendees and speakers as needed.

  • Abide by the ACSV’s Volunteer Code of Conduct.

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities

Registration & Welcome Team

Responsibilities:

  • Greet attendees and provide them with name badges and event materials.

  • Assist with on-the-day registrations and direct people to the correct areas.

  • Answer general attendee questions about the schedule and venue.

Ideal for: Friendly, organised individuals who enjoy engaging with people.

Social Media & Content Volunteers

Responsibilities:

  • Capture key moments and share them on social media.

  • Engage with online attendees by responding to comments and posting updates.

  • Assist with interviews, photos, and video snippets.

Ideal for: Those with experience in social media, content creation, or photography.

First Aid Volunteer (Must hold a valid First Aid certification) (1 position remaining)

Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for any minor medical incidents.

  • Direct attendees to professional medical assistance if needed.

Ideal for: Those with first aid experience and a calm approach in emergencies.

Speaker & Workshop Support (3 positions remaining)

Responsibilities:

  • Help speakers set up and manage time during sessions.

  • Assist with any presentation tech needs.

  • Ensure rooms are running smoothly and on schedule.

Ideal for: Those who are detail-oriented and comfortable with light tech support.
