Are you passionate about student empowerment? Do you have insights or innovative practices to share in the fields of student voice, agency, and partnership? Student Voice Conference (SVC) 2025 is seeking presenters for our upcoming event!

Our theme, Connect, Share, Empower, invites educators, students, community leaders, policymakers, and advocates to share their experiences and strategies for creating transformative change in education.

We’re looking for dynamic speakers and workshop leaders to dive into topics that empower students and foster inclusive, future-focused learning environments. Proposed sessions should address at least one of our key focus areas:

  • Cultural Identity & Safety

  • Future-Focused Education

  • Safe & Supportive Schools

  • Sustainability

  • Active Citizenship

  • Governance & Decision-Making

FAQs

  • Anyone with insights, research, or lived experience related to student voice, agency, and partnerships is encouraged to apply. We welcome students, educators, researchers, policymakers, and advocates at all levels.

    • Call for Presenters Opens: Now live

    • Submission Deadline: 31 March 2025

    • Notification of Acceptance: From mid-March 2025

    • Conference Dates: 30–31 May 2025

  • We invite proposals for a range of session formats, including: Workshops (interactive, skill-based), Panel Discussions (moderated conversations), Individual or Group Presentations (research, case studies, or initiatives), Lightning Talks (short, engaging presentations), and Roundtable Discussions (collaborative dialogue)!

    Please note, when completing the submission form the following terms are used to help us plan the use of space:

    • Presentation (occur in a lecture theatre or seminar room)

    • Workshop or Discussion (seminar room, interactive tables)

    • Part of a session with similar themed proposals (presenter is willing to participate in a panel discussion in addition to their session)

  • Presenters are required to register for the conference. While we are unable to offer complimentary registration, we will provide a discount code to access at-cost tickets.

  • Submissions will be assessed based on relevance to the conference themes, clarity, originality, and potential impact. A review panel will evaluate each proposal to ensure a diverse and engaging program.

  • Yes! You can submit proposals as an individual or a group. Ensure all co-presenters are listed in the submission form.

  • Some sessions may be recorded for post-event sharing.

  • We are unable to offer travel or accommodation support.

    However, we encourage presenters to seek sponsorship or funding from their organisation, or from other sources such as their local council.

  • Each presentation room will be equipped with a projector, and microphone. Further details will be provided closer to the event date.

    If you have specific technical requirements, please let us know in advance.

  • If you can no longer present, please notify us as soon as possible so we can adjust the program. If you need to nominate a replacement presenter, contact us at events@studentvoice.org.au.
