Our 2025 Federal Election Policy Statement

Young people are at the heart of Australia’s future, yet too often, their voices are overlooked when it comes to decisions that shape their lives. In classrooms, communities, and across the country, students have ideas, experiences, and solutions that deserve to be heard.

Right now, young Australians are facing big challenges. Climate change, the rising cost of living, barriers to access mental health support, and growing concerns about misinformation are making the future feel uncertain. At the same time, students in schools across the country are experiencing inequality, discrimination, and a lack of opportunities to have a real say in their education.

This election, we’re calling on all political parties to commit to policies that put students at the centre of education. That means listening to them, supporting them, and ensuring they have real opportunities to shape their futures.

This document outlines key actions that can make a real difference. From improving civics education and lowering the voting age to ensuring safe and inclusive schools, these changes will help create an education system where every student is valued, supported, and heard.

The time for action is now. Young people are the changemakers of today and the leaders of tomorrow.
